One more match of T20 World Cup left. India and New Zealand face each other in the final tomorrow (Sunday) in Ahmedabad. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the names of the match officials for the final.
England's Richard Illingworth and Alex Wharf will be onfield umpires in the final. Illingworth was also the onfield umpire in the 2024 World Cup final. Illingworth also managed the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy final.
Illingworth and Wharf were on-field umpires in the South Africa-New Zealand match in the first semi-final of the current World Cup.
Allauddin Palekar of South Africa will officiate as the third umpire in the final. He was on the field as an on-field umpire in India-England second semi-final.
The fourth umpire in the final will be South Africa's Adrian Holdstock, who was the third umpire in the second semi.
Zimbabwe's Andy Pycroft will officiate as the match referee in the World Cup final. He was also the match referee in India-England second semi.
