The next target is going to be Cuba, said Trump

US President Donald Trump has indicated that he will look to Cuba after the end of the ongoing conflict in Iran. He said, steps will be taken on Cuba only after the situation in Iran is over. He made these comments while talking to reporters during the visit of the football club Inter Miami players to the White House recently.

Trump thanked his administration's Secretary of State Marco Rubio for his extraordinary work on the Cuban issue.  He claimed that the changing environment that is being created in Cuba is positive for the United States. However, Trump said that the main focus is on the Iran crisis.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has tightened existing sanctions on Cuba, putting further pressure on the country's weak economy. Cuba, in economic crisis due to a long-standing US embargo, was largely dependent on Venezuelan oil.

However, the situation has become more complicated after the US operation in connection with the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Cubans were among the dozens killed in Venezuela in the raid.

Regarding US military intervention around the world, Trump said, "We have had tremendous success in many ways." In the first term I built and reorganized the military, and we are using it.

Citing Venezuela and Iran as examples, he claimed that the United States had achieved significant success in these operations.

According to analysts,The Trump administration is seeking to strengthen its geopolitical influence by increasing military and strategic activities around the world. New tensions over Cuba following the Iran crisis could raise the risk of another major conflict in international politics.
