Shot at tea shop in Pabna, 2 injured


Two people were seriously injured when miscreants shot them while watching television at a tea shop in Chatmohar, Pabna. The incident took place on Thursday (March 12) around 8:30 pm at Lalon Mor area of ​​Khatbari area of ​​Moolgram Union of the upazila. Two injured people were rescued and taken to Upazila Health Complex.

The two injured are Naeem Hossain (40) son of Rezaul Karim of Khatbari Dakshinpara village of Moolgram Union and Sajedul Islam (42) son of deceased Ramzan Ali. The injured are day laborers by profession.


According to witnesses and police sources, Naeem Hossain and Sajedul Islam were watching television at Razzak's tea shop in Lalon Mor area after Iftar on Thursday. At this time, three unidentified masked miscreants shot several rounds and ran away. At that time, Sajedul Islam was shot in the hand and Naeem Hossain fell down on the ground.


Later, the locals rescued the two injured people in bloody condition and first took them to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex where they were given first aid. After that, when the physical condition of the two injured persons deteriorated, they were transferred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in a coma.

However, it was not possible to know why or what caused this incident in the initial state. It is initially believed that the attack was due to a previous dispute.


Dr. Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex emergency department medical officer. Khandaker Nafis Sadiq said that after two people came to the hospital in a severe bleeding condition, they were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.

Confirming the fact of the incident, Chatmohar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Sarwar Hossain said,After hearing the matter, two injured people were sent to Rajshahi. Police have also been sent to the spot. The OC said that the legal process is ongoing.
